Until December 9th, Montreal based artist Denise Buisman Pilger will be showcasing her solo “Storyspaces” at Pointe Claire’s Viva Vida Art Gallery.

Pilger, of Dutch descent, will be hosting her fourth exposition at the gallery and the focus of this show is urban landscapes inspired by her travels around the world.

“I love to observe city life, all the cars and people rushing by, I always like to imagine where all those people are going and what their lives are like,” explained Pilger.

Raised in the Netherlands, the transplanted Montrealer has had her work showcased in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal as well as the prestigious Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.

Her most recent show prior to coming to the West Island was at the Old Brewery Mission’s new pavilion for male clients and will run until mid January.

“I feel incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to share my work with such a diverse audience,” Pilger noted.

Viva Vida Gallery is located at 278 Lakeshore Road in the Pointe Claire Village. Consult the website at www.vivavidaartgallery.com for gallery hours.
