Montréal, August 23, 2024. Discover the intersections of self and surroundings in a vibrant new exhibition by Denise Buisman Pilger at Espace St-Jean (Belgo Building - 372, Sainte-Catherine St. W, suite 521). Titled ‘Soul & Cityscapes’, the exhibition invites viewers on a journey through both abstract inner worlds of identity and vibrant cityscapes. The exhibition runs from September 12th to October 19th, with an opening event during Rentrée du Belgo (https://belgo.art) on September 12th, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

“We’re thrilled to be the first to present Denise’s deeply personal and visually striking new works to the Montréal public. This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to explore both the intimate and the expansive, the self and the city,” says Gallery Director Louis-Bernard St-Jean.

Art Basel 2023

Saint Jerome, August 8, 2023. Exciting news! The Artist Abroad is going to Miami! From December 6-10, Denise will exhibit her work at Spectrum, one of Art Basel's satellite shows, held at the vibrant Mana Wynwood in Miami in the heart of the thriving Wynwood Arts District.

Spectrum is a curated art fair taking place amidst Miami Art Week, presenting 150+ independent career artists, studios, and younger galleries. Running alongside sister fair Red Dot Miami, Spectrum offers the unique opportunity to connect with blue-chip galleries and emerging artists—all under one roof.

Spectrum Miami is where contemporary meets extraordinary, featuring the works of more than 200 exhibiting galleries and artists from the Florida region and around the globe. The five-day show attracts more than 35,000 visitors and high-net-worth collectors who interact with the specially curated programming while celebrating the fine art experience with music, entertainment, and other special events.


Salon Empreinte D’Art

June 2-4, 2023, Parc Marie-Victorin, Kingsey Fall

Saint Jerome, April 21, 2023. Join the Artist Abroad for the first edition of The Salon Empreinte D’Art, Quebec’s own fine art fair! This stunning multidisciplinary arts event will be held at picturesque Parc Marie-Victorin (385, boul. Marie-Victorin, Kingsey, Falls, Quebec) from June 2nd to 4th. On June 2nd, a VIP evening (by invitation) will be held followed by general admission on the 3rd and 4th. The park's website can provide more information on the location.  

The Salon Empreinte D’Art is a juried art event. Fashion designer and artist Jean-Claude Poitras is the honorary president for this first edition. He will also serve on the jury. Other members of the jury are well-known art critic Michel Bois, photographer and gallery owner Sabrina Leeder, producer, television/radio host, disc jockey, creator, producer, and promoter Brian Sebastian. During this art salon, a multitude of artworks will be showcased for the enjoyment of our visitors, and they will also be available for sale. The vision of the Salon Empreinte D'Art is to create a unifying event that will promote discovery and promote art in all its forms (painting, sculpture, photography, fashion, etc.) in the natural and enchanting setting of one of the most beautiful gardens in Canada. Through this new artistic event, the organization aims to leave a lasting impression on both members of the artistic community and the public. The event is open to everyone.
